Persuasive essay

                                              Bullying Awareness Program

Bullying takes place in almost every school in the U.S but there is not enough bullying awareness programs to help the victims of bullying. All schools should implement bullying awareness programs. It will provide bullying victims, a place to came forward about bullying, advice from people who experienced the same thing as them and help to stop bullying in many school in America.

Having a bullying awareness program in school will provide bullying victims with a place to talk about their problems. This program will increase academic performance in bullying victims. They will no longer have to stress over being bullied in school. Studies confirms that fearful students do not  learn effectively or perform at their best on critical test.

Secondly a bullying awareness program would make schools a safer place to learn. The best way to makes schools safer is to stop bullying before it starts. People in the school and community should come together and establish school committees and evaluate bullying prevention programs. Schools should create code of conducts and a bullying report system. Schools should also implement a consequence to bullies. Doing so will help decrease the number of bullies.

Another benefit of a bullying awareness program is having someone to talk to that went through the same things bullying victims are going through. Many times kids don't have anyone to talk to, they feel  like no one understand what their going through but this program would insure them that their not alone. People in the program can give them advice and comfort.

As you can see most if not all schools need a bullying awareness program not only would it make schools a safe environment to learn but it would also give students a place to to report bullying incidents. That would decrease the number of bullies and fight in the schools.

                                                          Frederick Douglass

Frederick Douglass was one of the most influential people because he lived as a slave and is able to tell about slavery. He was educated, and most slave didn't have  that opportunity to do most of the things he did. He was exceptional at being who he was and the fact he came so close to getting rid of slavery. And because he became international he was better representing the slave better than most abolitionist could.

Harriet Tubman

I choose Harriet Tubman because she believed in fighting for woman sufferage rights and freedom. She also helped a lot of people in need. Three accomplishment of Harriet are she ran the Underground RailRoad,  she directed slaves to freedom through the underground railroad, transporting over 3,000 slaves through the Underground Railroad, and into Canada, which became the only way to become a free African American man/woman, she was also a cook and nurse for the Union Army, but then an armed scout and spy. She was also a conductor of the underground railroad, where slaves escaped. Harriet Tubman was born into slavery in 1819 or 1820, in Dorchester County, Maryland. She got married in 1844 at the age of 25 to John Tubman. Harriet impact people in many ways she changed people lives. She help African American get aways from the harsh treat of their master. It wasnt always easy but she tired her best to help in what ever way she could. Imagine what is it would be like if someone that Harriet Tubman didnt take a stand and tried to help slaves. We would be batering for all our lives.

Anthem by Ayn Rand

                                                                         Anthem

"These are the things before me. And as I stand here at the door of glory, I look behind me for the last time. I look upon the history of men, which I have learned from the books, and I wonder. It was a long story, and the spirit which moved it was the spirit of man’s freedom. But what is freedom? Freedom from what? There is nothing to take a man’s freedom away from him, save other men. To be free, a man must be free of his brothers. That is freedom. This and nothing else" Ayn Rand. Dystopia is a imaginary place where everything is unpleasant and society is extremely bad.
Equality 7-2521 is smart, tall, handsome, strong, and fearless. Equality is special because he invented the electric light and became a scholar in his society within a few years. In Anthem citizens have no freedom, no individuality, and no technology. Not having freedom would be the hardest to live without because i wouldn't get to do the things i wanna do when i wanna do them. Living without freedom would also make it hard for me to have any individuality. For me Living without technology would be the easiest because there was a time when technology didn't and people still survived regardless. I'd rather have freedom than technology.
After the Great Rebirth, Society makes all men the same and all men brothers to eliminate conflict. Based on what i read from the story they were not successful in eliminating the conflict. No matter how hard you try everyone is different. For instance Equality 7-2521 was tall not everyone in that society was tall not everyone was smart. Equality was brilliant.
Utopia is a community highly desirable or perfect. If i had total power and authority over a country i would make a perfect Utopia. Everyone would be free and would be able to be who they wanna be. I would make sure every is able to get a free education. My Utopia would be place full of opportunities for everyone. One possible disadvantage would be having the wrong kind of people in my society
